About the event
ACLSC successfully organised the 4th Internal Trial Tournament for the 1st and the 2nd year students of SLCU from 17th- 19th of April 2023. This internal tournament aimed to build students' interest in criminal law and hone their trial advocacy skills. The proposition was based on a murder case involving charges of conspiracy and forcefully causing miscarriage. The competition witnessed intense courtroom arguments among 48 teams with 2 preliminary rounds followed by the top teams qualifying for the quarter finals. The team consisting of Amiya M Arickatt, Shruthi Satish Kumar & Ashwin Govind Mathur won the tournament and the team with Darshita G, Nidhi D Murthy & Nirbhay Arora placed as the runners-up. The award for best speaker was won by Sunidhi Hegde and the best witness by Prathap Karna Suhaas.
